The Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy was established in 2007 as a specialized educational and training institution that provides academic services to the Judicial Department and to various institutions and entities operating in the UAE and abroad. It was reorganized by the Decision of His Highness the Head of the Judicial Department No. 14 of 2014 and the Decision of His Highness the Head of the Judicial Department No. 15 of 2009 on the organizational structure of the Academy. As a specialized educational and training institution with international standards in education, judicial training and complementary sciences, it meets all requirements related to legal knowledge and specialized training for members of the judiciary, future judicial candidates, their assistants, and all relevant legal persons, from a comparative international legal perspective.
Vision of the Academy:
Leadership in preparing human cadres and judicial assistants able to make the Abu Dhabi judiciary lead the world in the judicial work that is fair and accomplished in accordance with the best international practices. This helps make Abu Dhabi a global destination for the rule of law, entrepreneurship and investment and makes the judiciary in Abu Dhabi an investment and a destination for international legal leadership.
Mission of the Academy:
Providing educational and training services and activities related to basic, specialized and continuous training programs for members of the judiciary, their assistants and society at the national, regional and international levels, to achieve the rule of law and an accomplished justice of global quality.
Vission of the Academy:
The Academy aims to build and develop the capabilities of the members of the judiciary, their assistants and all parties to the judicial work by providing them with knowledge, skills, experience and trends that will enable them to carry out judicial work in order to achieve the set goals for the judicial institution which is to achieve sustainable and accomplished justice development. Its aim is also to provide trainees with knowledge, skills and behaviours in accordance with the best international comparative practices in order to make them able to assume higher-level responsibilities and able to develop the individual and institutional performance of judicial organizations and cooperating agencies.
Functions and responsibilities of the Academy:
- Programs for preparing and developing the capabilities of members of the judiciary
- Programs for preparing and developing the capabilities of government lawyers
- Basic, specialized and continuous training programs for judicial assistants
- Basic and continuous training programs for judicial control officers and external legal officers in government and private entities.
- Admission of foreign students within the scope of cultural, technical and judicial cooperation agreements between the Department and foreign countries and entities
- Training of legal persons in the private sector and implementation of legal courses for non-legal persons
- Exchange of experiences, documents and information in the field of training with similar institutions inside and outside the country.
Management of the Academy:
Board of Directors of the Academy :
The Board of Directors is headed by the Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and the membership of all parties to the judicial work from within and outside the Department .
Scientific Board of the Academy :
The Academy has a scientific advisory board composed of a number of members with competence, experience and specialization in the Academy's scope of activity, who are accredited by the Board of Directors .
The Scientific Board expresses its opinion and advice in the subjects presented to it concerning the various scientific activities of the Academy. The Board of Directors of the Academy adopts the systems and mechanisms of the Scientific Board.

According to the approved organisational structure, the Academy has three main sections, each of which has a number of units. These sections are:

- Support Services Section.
