1. Can you notarize documents online?
The ADJD offers a hybrid service where our clients may elect to either have their documents notarized online or in person by visiting our office.
2. What are the charges?
The fee will depend on the type of document. This will be clearly outlined when you submit your application.
3. Are your services only available to companies registered in Abu Dhabi?
At the moment, we cannot notarize company documents (such as Memorandum of Association, Share Transfer Agreements, etc.) for companies registered in any of the other 6 Emirates outside Abu Dhabi. However, we can notarize Power of Attorneys related to companies registered in any of the 7 Emirates.
4. Will the attested document also be applicable in Dubai?
Once a document has been notarized by our Department, it will be valid throughout the United Arab Emirates.
5. What are your operating hours?
We accept online applications 24/7. You can book your online meeting with our notaries from Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 14:15, and on Fridays from 08:30 to 10:45.
6. What are the prices for your services?
Power of Attorney:
- Valid for 1 year – AED100
- Valid for 2 years – AED200
- Valid for 3 years – AED300
- With authorized signatory – AED500
Pledge/Declaration:
- For any contract/ document of less than AED 50,000 or of unspecified value: AED 500.
- For any contract/ document of more than AED 50,000 and less than AED 200,000: AED 1,000
- For any contract/ document of more than AED 200,000: 0.5% of the document value, capped at AED 20,000
- With authorized signatory – AED500
All contracts, including, Sale Agreements and Mortgage Agreements:
- For any contract/ document of less than AED 50,000 or of unspecified value: AED 500.
- For any contract/ document of more than AED 50,000 and less than AED 200,000: AED 1,000.
- For any contract/ document of more than AED 200,000: 0.5% of the document value, capped at AED 20,000.
