What are the available channels for submitting notary public and attestation applications?

Applications can be submitted through the website of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department www.adjd.gov.ae which contains transaction forms, as well as through the Smart Applications of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department available in Mobile App Stores. Some typing offices also provide data entry services.  

 

What is expected to happen after the application is submitted?

You will receive notifications via SMS and email in addition to the ability to follow up on the status of the application through the channel through which you submitted the application. The application  will be assigned to the competent notary for approval, rejection, or requesting amendments after its checking. And in the event of approval, you can pay the fees through the payment link that you will receive via SMS or through the channel through which you submitted the application.

 

Does the court user have to appear in person after paying the fees to notarise the transaction, or will the process take place remotely? Does it require a prior appointment?

After paying the fees, an appointment must be booked to complete the notarisation process, where the remote video communication will be used through Webex Application that can be downloaded from Mobile App Stores. If personal attendance is required, you will be contacted by the competent employee to make the necessary arrangements in this regard, noting that some transactions may be completed without the need for personal attendance if submitted through the relevant person's UAE Pass account.​

What is expected to happen after the completion of the interview, whether in person or remotely?

You will get the final output of the requested service that you can download digitally through the same channel through which you submitted the application or through a link via SMS where you can download the attachment.

 

What is the digital authentication page accompanying the transaction?

You will notice that the transaction after authentication contains a page with digital authentication, it is for your protection and to achieve maximum information security and to avoid the need to print papers in addition to its various features such as the ability to obtain an original digital copy of the transaction at any time. Please note that transactions with digital authentication lose their authenticity if modified. ​
