Application to file an appeal – administrative cases

This service enables case parties to challenge the CFI judgment issued on their case before the appeal court, whether the judgment was issued in their favour or against them; by requesting amendment or annulment of judgment. 

  • Service lifecycle

  • Submit the application and the required documents through available channels
  • Pay the prescribed fees

  •  Emirates ID (original + copy) or any other proof of identity in exceptional cases        
  •  In case of proxy, a notarised power of attorney (original + copy)
  •  Copies of the appeal notice for all litigants
  •  Copy of the first instance judgment
  •  Supporting documents 
  • Fees
• 3% of the claim value for cases of specified value, provided it is not less than AED 100 or more AED 10,000.
• Claims of unspecified value: AED 2,000 and the fees shall be reduced to 50% if the appealed judgment is related to a subsidiary matter. 
• A security deposit of AED 2,000 if the case value is less than the maximum value limit. 
• Free of charge for claims, cases and challenges filed to cancel an administrative order.

• The appeal must be filed within the legally prescribed timeframes:
 - 30 days after the delivery of judgement in presence, or of being duly notified. 
• The notice of appeal must include the details of the judgment to be appealed, details of litigants, reasons for appeal, and claims to be decided.
• The statement of claim must clearly include litigants' information, details, and addresses.
•Applicant shall have the capacity to act.
• Presence of the person concerned or his attorney with an official POA.
